Set up your cart.

Start with your cart drawer and recommendations. Add optional modules when you need them.

  1. Install EasyCart through Shopify. Open it from your store's Apps menu.
  2. In Cart settings, turn on EasyCart and save. Choose your layout and colors. Recommendations are enabled by default.
  3. Click Open theme editor in EasyCart. Under App embeds, enable EasyCart and click Save. For a draft theme, enable the embed in that theme's editor.
  4. Preview your store. Open the floating cart bubble or header cart button, add an item, and check that recommendations update.

Choose what to recommend

Use automatic suggestions, select a collection to limit eligible products, or create product rules. Suggestions exclude items already in the cart, unavailable variants, excluded products, gift cards and products requiring subscription plans. Four suggestions need four eligible products.

Delivery, gifts and progress

In Rewards, choose a free delivery threshold, up to five gifts, and any qualifying-product conditions. Choose real gift variants; their current regular prices and images are loaded from Shopify. Thresholds use the store currency and merchandise subtotal before order discounts, tax and delivery, excluding marked gifts and gift cards. Other currencies use the normal cart without rewards.

Shopify requests discount and checkout-validation access when you install or update EasyCart. Activate rewards in the app only when you want to use them. Both checkout rules must be ready before gifts are automatically added. You can switch off the whole module, individual rules, progress display or bubble hints. Saving updates checkout rules. Gift protection stays active to prevent stale complimentary items from becoming paid purchases.

Eligible gifts are automatically added at no charge and can be removed by the shopper. If inventory or discounts prevent a free gift, it is not kept as a charged item. Use Claim eligible gifts to retry. Shipping rewards apply only to selected destinations and rate names, exclude local pickup, and are finalized at checkout. Conflicting Shopify discounts can affect which offer applies.

Optional cart modules

Announcements, cart notes and existing Shopify discount-code input are independently controlled. Gift cards are redeemed in Shopify checkout.

Connect AI Studio

Create a connection for a compatible desktop or CLI AI client to read settings and product information and propose changes. Review proposals inside EasyCart before applying them. Keep tokens private and revoke unused connections. Your AI provider's own terms and fees apply.

  1. Install Node.js 22.12 or later. Download the standalone EasyCart MCP connector to a local folder.
  2. Create a connection in AI Studio. Save the one-time token to a private UTF-8 file outside shared folders and repositories.
  3. In your client's local MCP settings, use node as the command and the absolute path to easycart-mcp.mjs as its argument. Set EASYCART_APP_URL to https://easycart-easyselling.onrender.com and EASYCART_TOKEN_FILE to your private file's absolute path.
  4. Restart your client's MCP connection. Ask it to read current settings, search real products, preview changes and submit a draft. Apply the reviewed draft in AI Studio. A connection expires after 30 days; drafts expire after seven days.

For example: “Prepare a black and red cart with four recommendations, free delivery at 2000, a bench gift at 3000 and a mirror gift at 5000. Find the actual gift variants, preview the changes and submit a proposal.” New checkout rewards are activated separately in manual Rewards settings after reviewing their rules and permissions.

Troubleshooting & removal

If the cart does not appear, check that the app setting and the embed in your active theme are enabled. If another cart app opens, disable its cart takeover in the theme editor. To stop EasyCart, disable its embed and app setting; uninstall from Shopify to remove app access. If rewards were enabled, inspect Shopify's Discounts page and carts containing gifts after disabling or uninstalling.
